Ragdoll Standard

Personality and development

Ragdoll is a quiet and social cat, and loves to be near their owners. Many people find that they’re just like dogs. The Ragdoll is affectionate and likes to be pampered. The dense, long fur is easy to hold.  The easily get along with other cats, dogs and children.
Ragdoll kittens are born completely white, and only after 3-5 days you can see faint signs of color and character on the ears, nose, feet and tail. Ragdoll develops late, and the color is not done developing until 2-3 years of age. The male has a more pronounced color than the female.

The “perfect” standard

Whether to breed or show, one must often struggle to find the kitten that meets the perfect standard, but the cat should primarily be as a family member, and treated accordingly.
Ragdoll is a large and powerful cat with semi-long silky coat. The hair will eventually form a collar around the neck and “nodding pants” on their hind legs.
The head shall have a flat lot between the ears, which is to be placed far apart and that should be slightly rounded. The nose should have a slight bend in the top third. The eyes are oval and always blue. The body is long and muscular. The full-grown cat is as broad across the shoulders as over the rear. Paws are large and powerful with fur between the toes. Females are considerably smaller than the male cat. Considerations will be taken to the male cat’s powerful jaw party. The cat’s development is slow. It may take about 3-4 years before the Ragdoll is full grown.

Ears

Medium, large, wide at the base, with rounded top. To be placed far from each other with a slightly forward gun.

Medium long legs, hind legs slightly longer than the legs, allowing the back line seems to stop some distance from the abdomen to the head. Paws are large and powerful, with fur between the toes.
Flaws: Long and narrow neck. Narrow chest and cobby body. Short legs, splayed toes, lack of paw hair.

Hale

The tail should be long, velp and proportioned to the body. Medium-thick at the base, tapering slightly toward the top.

Fur
